Rome, Florence and Venice!

Enchanting Venice awaits you; take time for a gondola ride through

Renaissance Florence is the last of the Italian cities on this trip

Depart U.S.A.
Leave the U.S. for your overnight flight to Rome, Italy!
Day 2
Arrive Rome
After
making your way to the hotel in Rome, your day is free is explore
this ancient city. Rome is
the capital and largest
city in Italy and is located on the Tiber and Aniene Rivers near the
Mediterranean Sea. Vatican City, a sovereign enclave within Rome,
is the seat of the Roman Catholic Church and the home of the Pope.
Within the city limits, the population is 2,823,807 (2004); almost
4 million live in the general area of Rome as represented by the
province of Rome.
Tonight,
after you meet your tour guide and fellow travelers for an
introductory meeting and an included dinner, head into town for an
evening out. (D)
Day 3
Rome to Venice
Today we head north over the Apennine mountains and into
the Veneto region for our two night stop on the mainland close to
Venice. En-route we pass magical hilltop villages, the rolling hills
of Tuscany and the city of Bologna - home of Spaghetti Bolognese. (B,

Day 4
Venice
This morning we take a private motorboat to the central
islands of Venice. See Piazza San Marco, Bridge of Sighs, the Doges'
Palace and St. Mark's Square; and enjoy Murano glass-blowing and
Burano lace- demonstrations. In your free time explore St. Marks
Basilica, the Doges' Palace, or shop.
The
Piazza San Marco is the hub to start exploring to reach all of the
Venice's most famous landmarks. There's glittering San Marco
Basilica, the Palazzo Ducale, a pink-and-white Venetian Gothic
wedding cake of a building that housed Venice's rulers and now has
art exhibits; San Marco's beloved 100-metre-tall brick bell tower,
which was constructed in 912 and fortified after collapsing in
1902, so you can climb if for a beautiful bird's-eye view of Venice;
the extravagantly decorated, and extravagantly priced, 18th-Century
Florian's and Quaddri cafes; and, of course, there’s the piazza's
famous pigeons.
Later
maybe a Gondola ride through the canals of this amazing city? (B)
Day 5
Venice to Florence
We
wind through the Apennine Mountains towards the gorgeous region of
Tuscany. We visit Pisa to see the world-famous Leaning Tower and
Baptistry. This evening enjoy the chance to stroll through the
streets of this most spectacular of Renaissance cities, Florence.

Day 6
Florence
The day includes a walking
tour of Florence, known as the
home to Michelangelo, Raphael and Di Vinci. With our local guide,
see the Piazza
della Signoria, the Duomo and Santa Croce, and a chance to shop for
leather, gold and silver. Also see a Florentine leather craft
demonstration. In your free time maybe visit one of the city's many
museums or galleries and this evening enjoy the colorful Florentine
nightlife! (B)
Day 7
Florence to
Rome
All
roads lead to Rome where our included sightseeing tour is the
perfect introduction to the Eternal City. Do as the Romans do and
stroll past the Trevi Fountain, the amazing Pantheon and Piazza
Navona. (B,D)
Day 8
Rome
A free
day to explore the treasures of this historic city.
Your chance to join a tour
through Imperial Rome with a local guide, before time to visit St.
Peter's Basilica, the Spanish Steps or check out the shops. Maybe walk
the Via del Corso & shop for Italian fashion or sit in a side street
café and sample a Gelato - the choice is yours! (B)
Day 9
End Rome
Time to swap
addresses and email details and say 'Arrivederci Roma' as the tour
ends after breakfast. (B)

receive “Any-Reason” insurance(in the form of travel
certificates to be used within a year) allowing you to
cancel for any reason up to 48 hours prior to your trip.
Double your medical coverage and gain terrorism coverage for
only $35.00 additional per person. Travel insurance
is highly recommended. Insurance is non-refundable. Does not
include air arrangement protection unless air/land package
is booked by our tour operator.

Your
payment for a reservation on this trip constitutes consent and
acknowledgment of all the provisions in this Fine Print listed below
and in the Singles Travel Company General Terms and Conditions.
Please make sure you read both of these important pieces of
information and call us with any questions.
A non-refundable deposit of $200.00
(plus travel insurance if you want it) is due with your
reservation.
Final payment
is due 60 days prior to departure date. Credit cards (Visa or
Mastercard) or checks (made out to Travel Advisors of Los Gatos) are
accepted. Cancellations and Refunds – All cancellations must
be in writing.
Cancellation Fees
as follows: Regardless of when you cancel, there will be a charge
from Singles Travel Company of $50 applied to your credit card
plus the following cancellation fees: (Insurance is
non-refundable.)

When the percentage cancellation fee
is less than the tour deposit, the cancellation fee will equal loss
of the deposit. No refunds on unused portions of the tour. A fee of
$30 per transaction may be charged for any alteration or revision
made to a reservation. Cancellation fees also apply to additional
accommodations reserved prior to and after the tour booked with the
tour operator of the trip. Due to air carrier guidelines, you may
be charged up to a $200 penalty if you cancel your air booked with
the tour operator within 120 days of departure. After airline
tickets are issued, airline cancellations are per the airline’s
policy/ and or the tour operator if purchased through the tour
operator.
