You’re going to love this trip!
Your
trip starts in exciting Paris; then explore the romantic French
countryside from the famous Bordeux wine region of France to Lourdes
and then head to the south of France to enjoy the provence area and
finally your tour ends with time in ritzy Monte Carlo!
Start with two nights
in Paris where sightseeing includes a visit to magnificent Notre
Dame Cathedral and an ascent to the second floor of the Eiffel
Tower. Then continue by high-speed “TGV” train to Bordeaux and enjoy
an excursion to St. Emilion with wine tasting. Then via Biarritz we
head to Lourdes, where two nights offer enough time to follow the
pilgrims to St. Bernadette’s Grotto. Stop in the beautifully
preserved medieval walled city of Carcassonne on your way to Nîmes
where you’ll enjoy a walking tour and a visit to Pont du Gard, the
2,000-years-old Roman Aquaduct.
We’ll
visit Avignon then onto Aix en Provence-one of Frances most elegant
cities, where you can explore its famous cafes, fountains, shops and
squares. Then a colorful drive thru Cannes on route to Monte Carlo
where you can mingle with the rich and famous
in the Principality of Monaco where two nights offer the possibility
to visit the Monte Carlo Casino and to join an optional excursion to
explore the famous artist town of St. Paul de Vence and Nice with
its flower market.

Day 1, Wed. Aug 13
Your flight from your hometown to Paris
Board your overnight transatlantic flight to
begin your vacation to France!

Day 2, Thurs. Aug 14 Arrival in
Paris, France
Time to rest or to
start exploring this splendid French capital. At 6 p.m. meet your
Tour Director and fellow traveling companions and leave the hotel
for a welcome dinner with wine at one of Paris’ lively restaurants.
After dinner you may wish to join an optional outing to get a first
impression of this wonderful ‘City of Light’. (D)

Day 3, Fri. Aug 15 Paris
Sightseeing with a local guide features the Arc de
Triomphe, Opéra, Madeleine, Louvre, and Champs-Elysées. Visit
magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral, and for a panoramic view, take the
elevator to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. The balance of the
day is at leisure for you, and maybe friends from the group, to
enjoy the sights you want to see while you are in Paris. Your Tour
Director has suggestions for exciting afternoon excursions; and then
tonight maybe a lively cabaret show might just be the ticket to end
your last night in Paris! (BB)

Day 4, Sat. Aug 16 Paris -
Bordeaux
This morning we depart Paris aboard the famous
high-speed “TGV” Train to Bordeaux. After arrival, in the afternoon,
our guide will take us for a pleasant walk through the center of
this captivating city. (BB, D) 
Day 5, Sun. Aug 17
Bordeaux. Excursion to St. Emilion
Tour the most famous wine region of France this
morning and stop for lunch in the pretty town of St. Emilion. Then
the highlight of today: an expert will explain the local secrets of
wine tasting.
We return to
Bordeaux in the afternoon and then take time to stroll along the
riverbank or explore the local area. Tonight is your chance to try
out the cuisine in the local restaurants with friends from the
group. (BB)

Day 6, Mon. Aug 18 Bordeaux -
Biarritz - Lourdes
Today, enjoy a scenic drive south following the
Atlantic coast to the charming resort of Biarritz. After a morning
stop here, continue to Lourdes of pilgrimage fame, where you will
stay for the next two nights. You may wish to join this evening’s
memorable rosary and candlelight procession. (BB, D)

Day 7, Tues. Aug 19 Leisure in
Lourdes
This am enjoy a morning sightseeing tour exploring the
area. Lourdes has attracted people from all over the world for a
long time. Enjoy an entire day to soak in the special atmosphere of
this place and to follow the pilgrims to St. Bernadette’s Grotto.

Day 8, Wed. Aug 20 Lourdes -
Carcassonne - Nîmes
Stop for lunch in the beautifully preserved medieval
walled city of Carcassonne on your way towards the Provence area.
Then continue to Nîmes, where your Tour Director will take you for
an orientation walk through the center: admire the well-preserved
Roman Amphitheater and the Maison Carré. Dinner is served for you at
your comfortable hotel. (BB, D)

Day 9, Thurs. Aug 21
Nîmes. Excursion to Pont du Gard and
Avignon
Enjoy your drive today through the gently rolling hills
to Pont du Gard. Admire the 2,000 years old Roman Aqueduct, a
monumental feat of engineering. Next we drive through the vineyards
of Châteauneuf-du-Pape on our way to Avignon, where our orientation
tour includes a picture stop of the bridge of the popular song and
the massive Palace of the Popes. You’ll have time to browse through
the many attractive shops or to join the locals sitting at one of
the outdoor sidewalk cafes before returning to Nîmes. (BB)

Day 10, Fri. Aug 22 Nîmes
–Aix-en-Provence – Cannes – Monte Carlo
This morning is dedicated to Aix-en-Provence, one of
France’s most elegant cities. Explore its center on foot, stroll
along shaded Cours Mirabeau, admire its famous cafés and fountains,
discover colorful squares, or barter with the locals at the quaint
flea market on Place de Verdun. After lunch, head east past
Cézanne’s Mount St. Victoire and drive through Cannes, where you
will see the Festival Hall and the Croissette on your way to your
beachfront hotel in the Principality of Monaco. Tonight you may wish
to try your luck at the Casino! (BB)

Day 11, Sat. Aug 23 At Leisure
in the Principality of Monaco
Your day is at leisure to just relax or dabble in the
Mediterranean. Shop in the expensive and chic stores of the rich and
famous, explore the area on foot or sit at a sidewalk café and watch
the world walk by! Or why not join an optional excursion to the
famous artist town of St. Paul de Vence and to Nice, to explore the
Old Town and its flower market? (BB)

Day 12, Sun. Aug 24 Principality
of Monaco - Nice Airport to your hometown
Morning transfers to the Nice airport for your homebound
flight today if you have bought the tours airport transfers,
otherwise make your way to the airport on your own before your
flight. (BB)

Airfare is
additional. You need to fly into Paris and out of Nice.
Airport transfers
are $20 each way ($40 roundtrip). You must
arrive into the Paris airports (Charles De Gaulle or Orly)
between 6am and 2pm and depart from the Nice airport between
7am-3pm. We will need your flight information no less than
6 weeks prior to the departure date to confirm transfers.

Travel/Trip Cancellation insurance is highly
recommended. Get Travel Protection Plus for
an additional
$30. This additional benefit allows you to cancel your
vacation up to 24 hours (or the prior business day,
whichever is
farther out) before your scheduled departure for any
reason not covered by the travel protection plans
provisions.
With this
Protection Plus policy you will be reimbursed for the
cancellation penalties with travel vouchers to be used
within a
year with the
tour operator. You must purchase it with your deposit if you
want a waiver for pre-existing conditions and Travel
Protection
Plus. Insurance is not refundable. Your air is not covered
under this policy.

A valid passport
is required for U.S. travelers and
should be valid up to 6 months after the trip. Non-U.S.
citizens must check with their local consulates.

Your payment for a reservation on this trip constitutes consent
and acknowledgement of all the provisions in this Fine Print listed
below and in the Singles Travel Company General Terms and
Conditions. Please make sure you read both of these important
pieces of information and call us with any questions.
Payments:
A non-refundable
deposit of $200.00 is due with your reservation and
your insurance is due also if you want to purchase it. Full and
final payments are due 70 days prior to departure date. Credit
cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) and /or
checks (payable to Travel Advisors) are accepted.
Cancellation Fees and Refunds:
All cancellations must be
in writing. Regardless of when you cancel there will be a charge
from Singles Travel Company of $50. Also insurance is
non-refundable.

airline tickets are issued, airline cancellations are per the
airline’s policy/ and or the tour operator if purchased through the
tour operator. Per
our tour operator, hotels are always subject to change.
