Travel to the heart of the Canadian Rockies on this spectacular vacation that is meant for the traveler that doesn’t need first class accommodations to see some of the Canadian Rockies most beautiful scenery! Your trip begins in Calgary with a sightseeing tour of Calgary’s highlights and a visit to Fort Calgary. Then head west through the foothills of the Canadian Rockies into Banff National Park, Canada’s oldest national park and gateway to the Canadian Rockies. Spend two overnights at this popular year-round resort with time to explore Banff on your own or to take an optional excursion.
On the way to Jasper National Park, stop in Lake Louise and discover this world-famous location with its cold waters reflecting the surrounding mountains and glaciers. Travel north on Icefields Parkway and savor stunning views of alpine meadows, waterfalls, and glacier masses. Next, a highlight of your vacation—take a thrilling ride aboard an Ice Explorer on the Columbia Icefield, the largest expanse of ice in the Canadian Rockies. Continue on to Jasper National Park, the largest national park in Canada, for an overnight and an orientation tour in Jasper.
Depart Jasper, follow the Fraser River to the base of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and overnight in Kamloops. Board a ferry for Victoria, where you enjoy two overnights and a city tour plus time for optional activities, including a whale-watching cruise. Before leaving Victoria, stop at world-famous Butchart Gardens with its 55 acres of showcase floral exhibits. Once back in Vancouver, enjoy a sightseeing tour, including Gastown, Stanley Park, and other famous landmarks. It’s a great way to wrap up your majestic Canadian Rockies vacation!

Day 1, Mon. Aug 3                                        Calgary   
 Fly from your hometown into Calgary, Alberta, Canada to start your wonderful vacation in the Canadian Rockies!  Check into our hotel and then depending on your arrival time, start exploring or take time to relax. Your tour director is on hand this evening to answer any questions.
 
Day 2, Tues. Aug 4                                         Calgary-Banff
The discovery of oil converted this ranching town into a sophisticated city with skyscrapers and elegant shopping centers. It is also home to the world-famous Calgary Stampede. Tour many of the city’s attractions, including Canada Olympic Park, the Saddledome, and Fort Calgary.
Then we head west through the foothills and into Banff National Park, gateway to the majestic Canadian Rockies and Canada’s first national park with unparalleled mountain scenery nestled in the heart of the magnificent Canadian Rockies.
This afternoon maybe join the optional excursion to Sulphur Mountain for panoramic views of Banff’s spectacular scenery. Dinner is at leisure tonight to enjoy the many wonderful restaurants in Banff with new friends from the group.
 
Day 3, Wed. Aug 5                                         Banff
             Banff is one of Canada’s favorite year-round resorts and each year millions of visitors come to Banff to marvel at the emerald waters of Lake Louise, walk amongst the flower-filled heavens at Sunshine Meadows, and drive beneath the towering jagged peaks lining the Icefields Parkway. Snow-capped peaks, glistening glaciers and sweeping vistas are just one part of the allure of Banff National Park.
There are many summer activities such as hiking, boating, and fishing or maybe a day of bike riding, golfing or walking around this ‘outdoorsy’ town.  With this free day at leisure, your tour director will suggest an optional helicopter ride over the beautiful Canadian Rockies.
Tonight, take an optional excursion to the theater, featuring Canadian cuisine and dinner.

Day 4, Thurs. Aug 6                                       Banff-Lake Louise-Jasper
             Today is a day of scenic grandeur. First stop is Lake Louise, whose turquoise waters create a perfect natural mirror that reflect the surroundings. Next, journey north into Jasper National Park
, where beautiful gorges, snowcapped summits, and lakes of exquisite blues and greens come into view as the motorcoach scales two mountain passes.
Another highlight on today’s agenda is a stop at the Columbia Icefield, (one of the only Icefields in the world accessible by road), to experience the Ice Explore
r, an all-terrain vehicle that travels upon ice that is 1,200 feet (365 meters) thick.
Later this afternoon, your tour director will suggest an optional raft trip down the Athabasca River.
After arrival into Jasper, enjoy an orientation tour of this scenic town. Jasper National Park, the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies, is the wildest of the mountain parks, and contains a superb backcountry trail system.  It is known for wildlife viewing, and is home to some of North America's rarest animals, including healthy populations of grizzly bears, moose, caribou and wolves.
Dinner is at leisure to enjoy with your fellow travelers.

 Day 5, Fri. Aug 7                                            Jasper-Mount Robson-Kamloops   
With a morning at leisure, join the optional trip to Maligne Lake
featuring a narrated cruise to much-photographed Spirit Island.
We then depart Jasper and follow the Fraser River to the base of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. The Yellowhead Highway continues south along the mighty Thompson River, with spectacular views of the Monashee Mountains. We’ll overnight in Kamloops.
Your tour director will have recommendations for optional activities and the best places to dine tonight.
             
Day 6, Sat. Aug 8                                           Kamloops-Ferry Crossing-Victoria     
As we travel through British Columbia’s Coast Mountain Range to its majestic Pacific coastline, the vegetation changes from desert landscape to lush alpine forests. We’ll board our afternoon ferry for the spectacular crossing to Vancouver
Island and then on to the southern part of the island to Victoria with sightseeing that includes the Inner Harbor, Bastion Square, and Thunderbird Park.
This evening, consider a stroll along the lively Waterfront Promenade, visit the many waterfront shops and don’t forget to see the famous Empress Hotel sitting regally on Victoria's spectacular Inner Harbor, it showcases the spirit and energy of Vancouver Island in grand style. With her turn-of-the-century beauty, The Empress captures the grandeur and elegance of a bygone era.
Maybe a seafood dinner tonight, or with the British influence-maybe some fish and chips and a brew!

Day 7, Sun. Aug 9                                           Victoria
Today is a free day for independent sightseeing and there is much to see and do! Your tour director will have ideas to enhance your enjoyment of this most British of Canadian cities. Maybe take an optional whale-watching cruise and seek out pods of killer whales. A suggestion for this evening is an optional historic walk, followed by dinner in Chinatown.
           
Day 8, Mon. Aug 10                                       Victoria-Vancouver
Candian Rockies First stop today is at the famous Butchart Gardens with its 55 acres of showcase exhibits, including the English Rose Garden and the Japanese Gardens. Each year over a million bedding plants in about 700 varieties are used throughout the Gardens to make sure something is blooming at all times from March through October. Close to a million people visit each year, enjoying its’ magnificent floral beauty.
This afternoon, board the ferry for a spectacular crossing though the Gulf Islands, an archipelago known for its Mediterranean climate, to the British Columbia mainland to Vancouver. This city, the largest in the province of British Columbia with over a half a million residents, is surrounded by water on three sides and sits along a coastal mountain range which provides one of the mildest climates in Canada.  We’ll enjoy a city sightseeing tour of this very outdoorsy but cosmopolitan city which includes Stanley Park, Gastown, Chinatown, and many other famous landmarks.
Tonight, your tour director will offer dining recommendations for this vibrant city that has many wonderful restaurants.

Day 9, Tues. Aug 11  Vancouver
The trip ends today with guests departing on individual schedules. Transfers to Vancouver International Airport are included.

$1549.00 per person, based on double occupancy, land only (On this particular trip we’ll assist in finding a roommate, restrictions apply-call for complete details)

Want an extra 2 days in Vancouver?  ADD to above prices for 2 nights-Double occupancy- $230.  Single occupancy- $169.
Host services will be available to assist you with information for optional excursions, independent exploration and dining.  A transfer to Vancouver airport is included.
For a prenight in Calgary –double occupancy $69; single $114.
****We can’t guarantee roommates on pre or post nights but we’ll work with you on getting one if you want one.

Airfare is additional and you’ll need to fly into Calgary, & out of Vancouver, Canada.  We can assist you with flights.

$21.00  Arrival transfer to the hotel via taxi or shuttle service.  
The departure transfer to the Vancouver airport is included in the price of the trip, please advise us of your flight schedules.

Travel/Trip Cancellation insurance -$119.00 +$30. Travel insurance is highly recommended. Get Travel Protection Plus for only an additional $30. This additional benefit allows you to cancel your vacation up to 24 hours (or the prior business day, whichever is farther out) before your scheduled departure for any reason not covered by the travel protection plans provisions. With this Protection Plus policy you will be reimbursed for the cancellation penalties with travel vouchers to be used within a year with the tour operator. You must purchase with your deposit if you want a waiver for pre-existing conditions and Travel Protection Plus. Insurance is not refundable. Your airfare is not covered under this policy.

Passports- For U.S. citizens a valid passport is required for travel to Canada. Non-U.S. citizens please check with your consulate regarding correct official paperwork needed for entry into Canada.
Price does not include items of a personal nature, airfare, meals not specified in itinerary, tips to drivers and guides, optional excursions, phone calls, arrival transfer, etc.
This is a Special Trip Offering: This trip is in response to a lot of our singles asking us to do a few great trips open to everyone, not just singles. This trip is open to anyone and is also for the single who doesn’t necessarily need to go on an ‘all singles’ trip but wants even more varieties of trips that they can travel on with a few other singles and still get a great trip and travel experience.  So we have accommodated those requests in a few of our trips. So anyone and everyone who enjoys meeting lots of nice, friendly people of all ages, married or single are welcome!   Hope you can join us!

 Your payment for a reservation on this trip constitutes consent and acknowledgement of all the provisions in this Fine Print listed below and in the Singles Travel Company General Terms and Conditions.  Please make sure you read both of these important pieces of information and call us with any questions.  Note: The Canadian Rockies are blessed with stunning lakes, exquisite mountain scenery, and extraordinary outdoor attractions. Visiting and participating in activities in these locations is subject to favorable weather conditions.

Payments:
  A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is due with your reservation and your insurance is due now also if you want to purchase it.   Full and final payments are due 60 days prior to departure date.  Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) and /or checks (payable to Travel Advisors) are accepted.

Cancellation Fees and Refunds
All cancellations must be in writing.  Regardless of when you cancel there will be a charge from Singles Travel Company of $50.  Deposit of $250 and insurance is non-refundable. Cancellation Fees as follows:

60-22 days prior to commencement of services                                           50% of total price
21-1 days prior to commencement of services                                              100% of total price
On day of departure and later                                                                          100% of total price
No refunds on unused portions of the tour.  A fee of $30 per transaction may be charged for any alteration or revision made to a reservation.  Cancellation fees also apply to additional accommodations reserved prior to and after the tour booked with the tour operator of the trip.   After airline tickets are issued, airline cancellations are per the airline’s policy/ and or the tour operator if purchased through the tour operator. 
Travel Insurance is highly recommended.
