Itinerary

Day 1                                       Depart U.S.A. for Madrid, Spain
            Leave the U.S. on your overnight flight to Madrid to begin your European trip!

Day 2                          Arrive Madrid
          Madrid is the largest city in Spain as well as its’ capital and is the largest city in the Iberian peninsula. It is also the third most populous city in the European Union after London and Berlin. Check into your hotel and relax. Later meet up with your tour director and your fellow travelers. (D)

Day 3                          Madrid
           Our morning sightseeing includes a guided tour of the Royal Palace. The rest of the day is free for you to discover this amazing city. Perhaps see the Bullring or visit the famous Prado Museum. Tonight, maybe enjoy dinner with friends from the group and try a fabulous traditional Spanish cuisine. (B)

Day 4                                      Madrid to Bilbao
          We head north to Zegovia with its Roman Aqueduct & Alcazar (castle) before continuing to Bilbao, home of the Guggenheim Art museum. (B,D)
                                                                       
Day 5                          Bilbao to Pamplona
           See the beach resort of San Sebastian, then to Pamplona, home of the Running of the Bulls Festival. (B)

Day 6                                      Pamplona to Barcelona
          Soak up the baroque city of Zaragoza before we make our way to the buzzing city of Barcelona. (B,D)
                                               
Day 7                          Barcelona
          See why this sexy city sizzles on our included sightseeing tour. It’s a mix of food, fiesta, fashion & fun! See Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia & the 1992 Olympic Games complex. Enjoy the great food in this fantastic city for lunch and dinner. Walk through the Gothic Quarter & La Rambla district. Day 8                          Barcelona to Ibiza
SpainIbiza means- party! We fly to the world-famous island of sun, sand & sounds. Ibiza is one of the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean Sea belonging to Spain and is known for its summer parties, making it a very popular tourist destination, with thousands of people flooding in for the big summer club nights. However, large portions of the island are registered as U.N. World Heritage Sites too, and so are not as commercialized as the main cities. Artists frequently use the island for photographic and film shoots because of its natural beauty.  (B)

Day 9                                      Ibiza
            Relax on Ibiza’s beaches & soak up the Balearic island’s sunshine or get into some water sports before heading out into the island’s unbeatable nightlife. (B)             

Day 10                        Ibiza to Granada
           Today we board our ferry- making our way thru the Mediterranean to the mainland towards Granada.  (B,D)

Day 11                                    Granada
          Today is your chance to explore the spectacular former residence of the Moorish Kings - the Alhambra Palace. The Alhambra is an ancient mosque, palace and fortress complex of the Moorish monarchs of Granada in
southern Spain; it occupies a hilly terrace on the south-eastern border of the city of Granada. It was the residence of the Muslim kings of Granada and their court, but is currently a museum exhibiting beautiful Islamic architecture.
Then maybe dinner with friends from the group tonight-have you tried paella yet? (B)
    
Day 12                                    Granada to Seville
Wind along the Costa Del Sol coastline enjoying the scenic drive past Marbella, Malaga, and the Sierra Nevada mountains. Take time to visit the Rock of Gibraltar and the famous monkeys in this area before arriving in Seville. (B)

Day 13                        Seville to Cordoba
            Take your time in laid-back Seville-see the Cathedral, Alcazar and Plaza de Espana before we reach lively Cordoba, soaked in rich history & old world atmosphere with time-worn lanes and famously beautiful streets. Day 14                                    Cordoba to Madrid
            Hit the road and travel to the hill-top town of Toledo, with its mix of mosques, churches and  medival buildings in this gorgeous town known as the ‘Imperial City”, before returning to Madrid (B,D)

Day 15                                    Depart Madrid
                Your tour ends after breakfast and sadly it is time to say goodbye to new friends.

Winter Itinerary – Starts/Ends in Madrid  (does not visit Ibiza-but 2 nts Madrid, 1 nt Bilbao, 1 nt Pamplona, 2nts Barcelona, 1nt Valencia, 2nts Granada, 2nts Seville, 1 nt Cordoba,  then 1nt back to Madrid.)

Each pre or post night in Madrid is: $115 single, double $65per person, up to 2 nights only each.
 
An $8.00 document delivery fee will be applied on all bookings per our tour operator.
Transfers are not included on this tour. You will be responsible for providing your own transportation from the airport in Madrid to the hotel and back on the departure.
Airfare and airfare taxes are additional. Please call for a price quote or you may purchase your own air tickets.  Fares are based upon availability at time of booking.
Travel Insurance-  $169 for trips over $1501, per person. 
Pay for your travel insurance with your deposit & you receive “Any-Reason” insurance (in the form of travel certificates to be used within 2 years with our tour operator) allowing you to cancel for any reason up to 48 hours prior to your trip.  Insurance is highly recommended. Insurance is non refundable and does not cover air arrangements not made by our tour operator.
Price does not include items of a personal nature-i.e. phone calls, meals not included, alcoholic & other beverages not offered with included meals, transfers, tips to guides & drivers, travel insurance, and airfare.

Your payment for a reservation on this trip constitutes consent & acknowledgment of all the provisions in this Fine Print below & in the Singles Travel Company General Terms & Conditions.  Make sure you read both of these important pieces of information & call with any questions.
A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 (plus travel insurance if you want it) is due with your reservation. 
Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure date.  Credit cards (Visa or Mastercard) or checks (made out to
Travel Advisors of Los Gatos) are accepted. 
Cancellations and RefundsAll cancellations must be in writing. Cancellation Fees as follows:  Regardless of when you cancel, there will be a charge from Singles Travel Company of $50 applied to your credit card plus the following cancellation fees: (Insurance is non-refundable also.)

When the percentage cancellation fee is less than the tour deposit, the cancellation fee will equal loss of the deposit. No refunds on unused portions of the tour.  A fee of $30 per transaction may be charged for any alteration or revision made to a reservation.  Cancellation fees also apply to additional accommodations reserved prior to and after the tour booked with the tour operator of the trip.  Due to air carrier guidelines, you may be charged up to a $200 penalty if you cancel your air booked with the tour operator within 120 days of departure. After airline tickets are issued, airline cancellations are per the airline’s policy/ and or the tour operator if purchased through the tour operator and they may be non-refundable.
